Pilot axed a day after rebelling

Published

sachin pilot

It was just clear after Monday that Sachin Pilot is leaving his sixteen years of career in Congress. After the 48th hour of crisis, Randeep Singh Surjewala requested Pilot and other rebelling ministers to come and show their strength in the emergency meeting hosted by chief minister Ashok Gehlot. It was clear that Pilot will not show up as Surjewala was talking about the differences in between the party. He added that Pilot is “always in their hearts” and will be welcomed whenever he needs. “Even till this morning, right before the Congress legislature party meeting began, we kept talking to him. All of us spoke to him – his well wishers within and outside the party, but he wouldn’t listen,’’ said the leader. The story took a turn in the early morning of Tuesday when Gehlot government axed Pilot from the seat of deputy chief minister.

Many stories are coming up cause of this decision. The foremost is that pilot gave three demands to the party which can make him stay. The first demand was that he wanted to be the chief ministerial face in upcoming elections of 2022. Secondly, he wanted tourism minister Vishwendra Singh and all other legislators who rebelled with him would be rewarded with important bodies of the party. The final demand was to remove Avinash Pande, general secretary and Rajasthan Congress in-charge. He feared him as Pande was Gehlot’s mouthpiece.

When asked from Avinash Pande about sacking of Pilot and other ministers, he said“Bilkul sahi keh rahe hai Sachin Pilot, janta ne jinko chuna hai unki jeet hai. Bhagwan unnko sadbudhi de (Sachin Pilot is right. Those elected by the people have won today. May lord grant him some good sense,”

Despite this crisis, Pilot is not losing his cool. Pilot tweeted,” satay ko pareshaan kiya ja sakta hai, paraajit nahi’(truth can be disturbed  but never be defeated).
